Hurling more accusations on the UPA, TMC minister Saugata Roy has been quoted as saying to a popular media channel that Congress might use the CBI to make sure of the BSP and SP's support.
Roy added in his interview with the TV channel, "We do not know where and how the government will manage its numbers. It is not our concern whether the CBI cases are used as an instrument or if there are other incentives. We do not know and we do not care. Our commitment is to the people. We shall oppose any anti-people step taken by the central government."
Intending to take on the UPA, the Trinamool Congress also claimed that it was ready for
mid-term elections. Congress was, however, determined to put up a brave face in the face of such political crisis and is warming up to the Samajwadi party and the Bahujan Samaj party's support.
Congress leader Renuka Chowdhary making a dramatic stance commented, "India comes first, we will die but we will finish our commitment to the country."
