Hyderabad, May 29: YSR Congress leader and Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who is currently lodged at the Chanchalguda jail, Hyderabad in connection with the disproportionate assets case moved the CBI court for bail on Tuesday.

Reports reveal that Jagan met his mother MLA Y S Vijaya, wife Bharati, brother-in-law Anil Kumar, sister Sharmila and V Vijay Sai Reddy, his financial adviser and another accused in the case (now out on bail) before applying for bail.

Initial reports reveal that CBI, which was denied custody of Jagan, is likely to move a higher court for his custody. Jagan is also likely to be questioned by the ED in connection with the DA case.

Jagan was sent to a 14 day judicial custody on Monday.

Meanwhile, Jaganmohan Reddy's mother, Vijayamma Reddy is all set to begin campaigning from Wednesday for the upcoming by-poll elections.

"The CBI has arrested Jagan Reddy most undemocratically just 15 days before the by-elections as part of a larger conspiracy. It is no secret that the YSR Congress has gained an unprecedented ground in the state, the losers being the Congress and the TDP. Both of them have phenomenal clout and are misusing every institution with impunity. I request you to kindly direct the CBI to immediate release Jagan," read her letter to the Chief Election Commissioner seeking permission for Jagan to campaign.

Meanwhile, the matter has been posted to May 31 by the court.
