BJP exposes Chidambaram's son in multi-crore NRHM scam

Bangalore, Feb 23: The main opposition party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hurled a new bomb on Congress led UPA government and this time the party's main target is the Union Home Minister, P Chidambaram and his son Karthi Chidambaram.

BJP National Secretary and Chairman of Scam Expose Committee, Dr Kirit Somaiya on Thursday, Feb 23 released a documentary of 150 pages holding evidences against some Congress leaders and their kins involved in the multi-crore National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) scam.

According to the documentary, Ziqitza Health Care Limited have bagged crores of money illegally and in scandalous manner. The company has big names in the list of the directors and share holders including sons and son-in-law of Congress leaders. The Union Home Minister's son - Karthi Chidambaram is one among them.

BJP sources informed that awarding contract to Ziqitza in non-transparent manner have raised crores of rupees bills in scandalous manner with the help of benami and bogus trips of ambulances, carrying patients to and from hospitals in Rajasthan. Here it can be mentioned that NRHM scam has already claimed deaths of five people in Uttar Pradesh and Mayawati government has been facing stern criticism over the same. Now, the same scam hit Congress and UPA government which can be proved as a major setback for the central government and for Congress, especially when UP assembly elections are underway.
