Singer''s complaint against VC referred to Privilege Committee
Patna, Feb 24 (PTI) Eminent folk singer Devi''scomplaint that a university vice-chancellor misbehaved withher took a serious turn as Bihar Legislative Council todayhanded over the matter to the Privilege Committee.
This followed an apprehension raised by a JD(U) memberNiraj Kumar who said during Zero Hour that the Vice-chancellorof the Jaya Prakash Narayan University, D P Sinha might harassDevi''s father Pramod Kumar Sinha, a professor in the sameuniversity, and pleaded protection of the chair.
At this, Council Chairman, Tara Kant Jha handed overthe matter to the Privilege Committee.
Devi in her complaint with the Gaya police station hadalleged that the VC had misbehaved with her during a stageperformance in Bodh Gaya on February 18.
