Jodhpur, Feb 21 (PTI) Four alleged bookies have beenarrested for their alleged involvement in betting on theongoing World Cup matches, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided a house in Ratanadahere and arrested the four persons, and seized a dairy whichhas details of Rs 2.29 crore stakes on the cricket World Cupmatches, DSP (North) Manoj Choudhary said.
Police have also seized 16 mobile phones, 19 chargers,5 calculators, 6 diaries, 2 sets of Tata Sky dish TV, 1television set, electric boards and a landline phone.
Those arrested have been identified as KishanChand Sindhi, the owner of the house, Man Mohan Mali, AnilJain and Manohar Singh.
"We have arrested all of them and are interrogatingthem to get the details of the trade in the city and theirconnections," Choudhary added.
