Hyderabad, Jan 13 (PTI) The Telugu Desam Party todayrequested the Deputy Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh AssemblyNadendla Manohar to immediately decide on the disqualificationof its rebel MLA Nallapureddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy under theAnti-Defection Law as he indulged in anti-party activities.
Prasanna Kumar, an MLA from Sri Potti Sriramulu Nelloredistrict, moved out of the TDP more than one-and-a-halfyears ago and has joined the former Congress leader Y SJaganmohan Reddy�s camp.
He has been taking active part in programmes organised byJagan, including the recent hunger-strike in New Delhi.
The TDP had petitioned the then Speaker N Kiran KumarReddy (currently Chief Minister) seeking disqualification ofPrasanna Kumar but no action was taken.
TDP MLAs Payyavula Kesav and Jaipal Yadav met Manoharthis evening and renewed their appeal for disqualification ofPrasanna Kumar.
Meanwhile, TDP sources said they would submit a petitionto the Deputy Speaker seeking disqualification of anotherrebel MLA from Kurnool district Bala Nagi Reddy for anti-partyactivities. Nagi Reddy too switched over to the Jagan camp andhas been taking part in the former Congress MP�s programmes.
