Bhutan King visits India, reveals China's relation

New Delhi, Oct 21: Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuk on Wedneday, Oct 20 met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and discussed the relationship between two countries in the midst of regional and global change, said a source.

Sources said the two leaders discussed a whole array of bilateral issues and the king also informed about China stepping up its engagement with Bhutan.

Further reports said India wants to further strengthen relations with the Himalayan kingdom and officials here have ensured that some bilateral meetings will take place during his nine-day visit.

Later, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, External Affairs Minister S M Krishna and Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao met the King separately and discussed various issues of mutual interest.
