Swami Nithyananda judicial proceedings entangle
Bangalore, Jun 9: All legal proceeding against Swami Nithyananda, who arrested after a sex scandal emerged in Mar 2010, continue to be stalled with continual adjournments as the courts are being forced to consider the hearings being held at several other places .

The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday, Jun 9 posted the hearing of a writ petition seeking quashing of two FIRs filed against the godman to Jun 24.

Justice Arali Nagaraj adjourned the hearing on the plea of Nityananda"s counsel, Vivekananda Gupta, stating that it was necessary to adjourn the hearing as Nithyananda's bail plea has been posted for Thursday, Jun 10.

The Karnataka Criminal Investigative Department (CID), which is probing into the religious leader's case, is also expected to submit its report on Jun 10.

Mr Gupta also informed the court that the Madras High Court had stayed all criminal proceedings against his client pending before a court at Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu.

The Tamil Nadu court is hearing a private complaint against the self-styled godman.

Meanwhile, the Ramanagara Magistrate Court extended Nityananda"s judicial custody till Jun 23.
