Kaczynski and his wife Maria were among the 96 killed in the crash. Out of the deceased, 88 passengers were part of a Polish state delegation. Officials are almost certain that no survivors would be found.
The plane, which was carrying approximately 132 passengers, was on its way to western city of Smolensk when it crashed.
The plane crashed about 300 metres from the Smolensk airport after hitting tree tops due to heavy fog.
Kaczynski was traveling to Smolensk to observe the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre.
