Rawalpindi, Dec. 7 (ANI): The Rawalpindi city police along with other law-enforcement agencies arrested 70 persons on suspicion of being involved in the Parade Lane mosque attack during a search operation on Sunday.
Ten suspected people were arrested on December 4.
According to sources, the law-enforcement agencies took four men into custody from G-11 and shifted them to unknown place.
The agencies have already seized the car used in the attack. The car was registered in 2004 against the name of Muhammad Imran and it was sold four times to different people.
Police has arrested all those who purchased and later sold the car.
They said the investigation team also found a mobile phone in a car; it was revealed that the last call was made to South Waziristan from this cell phone.
Police found that the six live hand grenades were recovered from the crime scene and all were of Russian made. Two suicide jackets were used in the Parade Lane mosque attack and each jacket contained eight kg of gunpowder and steel material weighing four kg. (ANI)
