Lahore, Nov.10 (ANI): Despite the heightened extremist threat in the region and repeated appeals, authorities have failed to provide a proper security cover to the Punjab Emergency Services Academy (Rescue 1122), which has left the academy with no option but to pray for their safety by sacrificing a goat daily.
Yes, according to the sources, the Punjab Emergency Services Academy has been sacrificing a goat everyday to please the deity while praying for its safety.
"A goat was sacrificed every day using money collected from cadets. It's for god's blessings to keep us safe from terrorist attacks," The Daily Times quoted an academy insider, as saying.
The academy has repeatedly been threatened through fax messages and letters, but the police have failed to provide sufficient security cover to it. It is relying on its own arrangements comprising of few armed guards to take on the might of extremists who possess sophisticated arms and ammunitions.
The cadets have been directed not to venture out of the academy premises in uniform or assemble in groups inside the campus.
