Rajdhani hijack FIR doesn't name Maoists or PCPA
Kolkata, Oct 29: The First Information Report (FIR) filed by the Railway authorities in connection with the Rajdhani Express trainhacking reportedly does not mention Maoists or the People"s Committee Against Police Atrocities (PCPA).
The FIR was filed with the Jhargram GRP on Thursday, Oct 29. The railways has filed the report against 'unknown persons' for holding up the train and 'heckling passengers' along with preventing staff from 'discharging their duties for a long time', say reports.
This comes after the Communist Party of India -Maoist (CPI-M) leaders like Prakash Karat and Sitaram Yechury alleged that the Trinamool Congress supremo and Railway Minister, Mamata Banerjee was working hand in glove with the Maoists and that she was involved in the trainjacking incident.
Now, the FIR not naming the Maoists is being seen as a move to shield the extremists and there are question arising as to why Mamata's ministry has not named the Maoists and the PCPA who have already claimed responsibility for the Tuesday, Oct 27 incident.
