Khagaria, Sept 29 (ANI): The bodies of eleven persons have been found after an overcrowded boat capsized in midstream of swollen river Baghmati in Bihar's Khagaria district.
According to police, eleven bodies, including seven minor girls and two women, have been fished out.
However, search is on by the National Disaster Response Force personnel for 14 others, who were missing.
Five bodies were recovered from the spot last evening, while around 25 persons swam to safety.
Over 50 passengers were returning to their native village after participating in celebration of Durga Puja.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced an exgratia of one lakh fifty thousand rupees to the next of kin of the deceased. (ANI)
