First edition of Charles Darwin's evolution theory up for sale
London, June 3 (ANI): A first edition of Charles Darwin's pioneering work On The Origin Of Species, found at a family home, is set to go under the hammer.
Only 1,250 copies of the text were created when it was first printed in 1859.
And one copy of the revolutionary book was discovered in a house near Inverness, reports the Scotsman.
The 150-year-old book is expected to fetch between 10,000 to 15,000 pounds at the auction.
Edinburgh auction firm Lyon and Turnbull is set to invite bidding for the edition on June 5. (ANI)
