Washington, Jan 16: Arkansas police arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with the murder of Indian techie Akshay Vishal, working in the scam-hit Satyam Computers on Friday, Jan 16. Police didn't disclose the name and details of the arrested person. But the local media identified him as Brandon Johnson.

Sources in the Police department said that the 20-year-old is a strong suspect of the murder. They also said that three search warrants were issued in last two days. Reports suggest that the initial investigation suggest robbery as the prime motive of the murder. The police said that one more person was murdered on the same day. Local media reported that the accused is involved in as many as 12 other robbery cases and three murders.

26-year-old Akshay was living in US for past four years. He was working with Dessault Falcon Jet on behalf of Satyam. His neighbours claimed that Akshay lived with his girlfriend. It was the girlfriend who called the police after Akshay was shot at by the assailant. He succumbed to wounds in the hospital.

Indian Consulate in Houston has dispatched a senior official to help local authorities to arrange for the quick transfer of body to India. He is the seventh Indian killed in US in past one year.
