India reserve battalion by Kerala govt to tackle terrorists
Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 26 (UNI) The Kerala government has decided to constitute an India Reserve Battalion in the police force to tackle the terrorist activities in the state, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan said today.
Briefing weekly cabinet decisions to reporters here, he said the Cabinet had given its approval for creating 1,007 posts for the purpose.
It had decided to create 50 sub-inspector posts in the Emigration department at the Kochi International Airport, he added.
The Cabinet had also decided to urge the Centre a rehabilitation package to the beedi workers in the state.
The government would open new six fire stations in the state, he added.
