Chris Brown named 'Artist of the Year' at American Music Awards
Washington, Nov 24 : Hip-hop star Chris Brown bagged the top award of 'Artist of the Year' at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles.
The 19-year-old singer won three awards including Pop/Rock, Soul/R and B along with the Artist of the Year.
"I would've gave it to Coldplay. I'm at a loss for words," E! Online quoted him as saying.
Brown's alleged girlfriend and Barbadian beauty Rihanna also walked way with the gong of Favourite Female Soul/R and B Artist and Favourite Pop/Rock Female.
Kayne West won the award in the rap/hip-hop category.
Alicia Keyes, won for Pop/Rock Album and Soul/R and B album for As I Am, while Linkin Park won in the Alternative Rock category.
