Naxalites put up banner condemning recent killings
Udupi, Nov 22 (UNI) Naxalites putup banner condemning killing three of their colleagues in an exchange of fire recently with Anti-Naxal Force (ANF) in Mavinahola forest near Horanadu in Chikmagalore District.
In the exchange of fire on November 19, one constable was also killed when Naxals fired at the police.
About 15 Naxalites visited the naxal infected Thobottu village in Kundapura taluk of Udupi district last night and put up a huge banner condemning the killing.
While expressing their condolence to the three Comrades died, in the banner, it was stated that Chief Minister B S Yaddyurappa government has indulged in killing farmers and Naxalites who are fighting for the noble cause. The three comrades killed in the encounter in Mavinahola had sacrificed their noble life, the banner read.
The ANF squad, which rushed to the banner spot, also recovered some handouts from the scene and intensified the combing operation in and around Thobottu.
