Jabalpur, Nov 20 (UNI) BSP Supremo Mayawati today said it has become imperative to bring the BSP into power in order to create an atmosphere for 'Sarva Samaj (all sections)'.
Ms Mayawati, while addressing an election meeting at Vijaynagar here, said various states, after voting the BJP and the Congress to power, had experienced that both parties did not work in the interest of poor, dalit, backward class and farmers and neglected them.
She alleged that certain political parties had tried to cut people away from the party, which has never been against upper caste and wanted equality-based society in the country.
Ms Mayawati said she had proved her opponents wrong that her party was against upper caste people by forming government in Uttar Pradesh riding on the success of her social engineering formula.
Appealing to exercise caution with the assembly polls approaching end, she said the Congress, the BJP and their allies could hatch conspiracy to defame the BSP by buying votes.
''Anybody selling his vote will not just sell his vote but also his honesty along with it,'' she said.
Pointing out that the BSP was the only party that had demanded reservation for poor belonging to upper caste and sought amendment in this regard, the BSP Supremo said she has written a letter to the Centre for the purpose.
She said her party would implement it as soon as it came into power at the Centre.
She claimed that the BSP had done a lot of work for the welfare of dalits, poor, backward, farmers and other sections after coming into power in Uttar Pradesh.
Ms Mayawti added that the BJP and the Congress came into power with the help of money taken from capitalists and later frame policies for them.
