2100 enter the fray in Rajasthan
Jaipur, Nov 17 (UNI) Over 2100 contestants, including Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje (Jhalrapatan), Congress State President CP Joshi (Nathdwara), Scion of Bharatpur royal family Jat leader Vishwendra Singh (Congress-Deeg-Kumher), Meena strongman former Kirodi Lal Meena (Ind-Todabhim), today entered the fray for December four Assembly polls even as the last date for nominations had passed off this afternoon.
With this, over 3,000 contestants have so far filed candidature in 200 constituencies in the state since the opening of the process of filing of nomination on November 10.
The scrutiny will be done tomorrow, withdrawals can be made by November 20, polling in all 200 constituencies will be held on December four and counting of votes will be done on December eight, an Election Office spokesman said.
