Deep depression heading for Andhra coast
Visakhapatnam, Nov 14 (UNI) The depression over south-west and adjoining south-east of Bay of Bengal intensified into a deep depression and lay centered about 600 km south-east of Machilipatnam today.
According to the Cyclone Warning Centre here, it is likely to intensify further into a severe cyclonic storm and move towards the Andhra coast.
Under its influence, rain or thundershowers are likely at many places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh in the next 48 hours with squally winds, with speeds reaching 55 to 65 kmph along and off coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 48 hours.
The sea would be rough to very rough off the coast of Andhra Pradesh. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into sea.
Local cautionary signal number three was hoisted in all ports of the sea, it added.
