Ramadoss rules out support for no confidence against DMK govt.
Tiruchirapalli, Nov 9 (UNI) The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) will not support a no confidence motion against the ruling DMK government in the monsoon session in the Tamil Nadu Assembly beginning tomorrow, if the opposition AIDMK moves it, PMK founder-President S Ramadoss said today.
Addressing a press conference here, he said he did not see any reason to support such a move by the AIADMK. Replying to a specific question, he said if the situation warranted that the PMK should act on such motion, the party would take a neutral stand.
He said the DMK government could continue in office only with the support of the Congress and there was no question of toppling the DMK government through the no confidence motion.
But the Congress could topple the DMK government by moving the no confidence motion against it and form a coailition government.
In such an event, the PMK would support the Congress, Dr Ramadoss said.
Asked if there was a possibility of simultaneous polls in the state, he said it was in the hands of the Congress, and the decision of that party would be final, he added.
Replying to another question, he ruled out the possibility of forming a viable political third front in Tamil Nadu, without the Congress.
