Haier Mobile launches the icon series of mobiles
Mumbai, Nov 5 (UNI) Haier Telecom India Private Limited (HTIL) has announced launch of the Icon series of CDMA handsets in the indian market.
HTIL Vice chairman and Managing Director Mr Arun Khanna told mediapersons here today that ''Our specially eqipped Design cell, is responsible for our Icon series of phones. The dedicated design centre based in Delhi allow us to feel the pulse of the market and rapidly convert the insight into great phones which follows the Haier Mobile maxim of providing state-of-art phones''.
In the very first year of it's operation in 2006 it clocked sales of over three million handsets in India and captured 18 per cent of the CDMA handset market with pole position in CDMA handset sales, becoming the second largest.
This has been made possible with succesful partnership with Mobile Service Operations like Tata Teleservices, Airtel and most recently Virgin Mobile. In 2007, Haier Mobile has consolidated its presence in india and is expected to increase it's CDMA market share to 28 per cent, he said.
