Prahlad Patel demands separate state in Mahakaushal
Jabalpur, Oct 24 (UNI) Bharatiya Janshakti (Prahlad Patel faction) leader Prahlad Patel has reiterated that his party has resolved to carve out a separate state in the Mahakaushal region of Madhya Pradesh.
Pointing out that the state was rich in minerals, forests, water and land resources, Mr Patel said it was unfortunate that related industries were set up in nearby states.
''Processing units of manganese, blue dust and marble should be set up in Mahakaushal region. This would provide employment to local people,'' Mr Patel, while addressing 'Jankranti' rally organised here yesterday.
Earlier, he offered prayers at Narmada river at East Gwarighat.
Mr Patel, a former close confidante of Bharatiya Janshakti President and former Chief Minister Uma Bharti, broke away from the BJ and formed another party due to his differences with Ms Bharti.
