Police releases photos of 2 Nokia officials
Bangalore, Oct 24 (UNI) City Police Commissioner Shankar Bidri today released photographs of two Nokia officials wanted in connection with alleged harassment of a woman employee who committed suicide on September 26.
Defending release of photographs, Mr Bidri told newsmen here the multinational had promised to help locating the two officials.
But their cooperation was not forthcoming. Hence they had no option but to release the photographs with an appeal to the public to report to the police if they come across the accused.
Ms Sonia (26), an employee of Nokia Siemens, allegedly committed suicide with a note saying she was taking the extreme step as she could not withstand the harassment from her two immediate superiors The news had stirred a hornet's nest with activists accusing multinationals of not taking enough care of women employees.
Mr Bidri said ''whoever it could be, one should abide by the law.
