Two killed, eight injured in truck mishap

Shimla, Oct 22 (UNI) Two people were killed and eight others injured when the truck they were travelling in fell into a deep gorge at Archaree Moard on Paonta-Shilai road last night.

According to police, the driver of the tomato loaded truck lost controle over the vehicle after its break failed and the truck plunged into a gorge killing two on the spot. The deceased were identified as Biru Ram and Kalyan Singh.

The injured were admitted to Shillai hospital. One of the seriously injured was refer to PGI Chandigarh.

The administrative authority has announced an immediate relief of Rs 5,000 to the next of kin of the deceased, Rs 2,000 to serious injured and Rs 300 for others injured.
