I and B Min Dasmunsi shifted to Apollo; very critical, say doctors
New Delhi, Oct 20 (UNI) Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi was this morning shifted from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) to the Apollo hospital where doctors said his condition was ''very critical''.
''The condition of Mr Priya Ranjan DasMunsi is very critical. He continues to be on life support,'' said a statement issued by the Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals where Mr Dasmunsi was shifted from the AIIMS at around 1030 hours.
Sources at the AIIMS said Mr Dasmunsi, who was admitted there after a complete left ventricular failure last Monday, was shifted to the Apollo Hospital at the request of his relatives.
''Mr Dasmunsi was this morning shifted to the Apollo hospital at the request of his relatives,''AIIMS spokesperson Y K Gupta said.
Mr Dasmunsi was brought to AIIMS after he complained of breathlessness due to lung congestion and complete left ventricular failure.
The senior Congress leader had earlier suffered a heart attack on July 6 while on way to Kolkata from Malda after attending a meeting.
He had undergone an angioplasty and stenting of two coronary arteries in a hospital in Kolkata.
