Rotary club honours Dr couple in Puducherry

Puducherry, Oct 12: The Rotary Club of Pondicherry(Mid-town) today honoured the doctor couple from Thirukkazhukundram by conferring "For The Sake of Honour" award for their noble gesture of donating the organ of their son Hitendran, brain dead in an accident recently.

At a function organised by the club here, Puducherry speaker R Radhakrishnan conferred the award on Dr Ashokan and Dr Pushpavalli Ashokan.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Radhakrishnan stressed on the need for creating awareness on organ donation.

A special lecture on organ donation was delivered at the function in which students from several schools participated.
