BJP objects to non-inclusion of terrorism agenda at NIC meet
Bangalore, Oct 12 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party today took strong objection to ignoring the 'Terrorism' issue from the agenda of the National Integration Council (NIC) meeting convened by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Speaking to newspersons here, Party General Secretary H N Ananthkumar said the nation was facing serious challenge of terrorism and there was no mention about it for taking up for discussion in tomorrow's meeting.
Stating that terrorist were operating across the country throwing challenges for unity and integrity, he said the response from the UPA government at the Centre to tackle it was lukewarm.
The country was facing one of the worst economic crisis resulting in rise in price and crash in equity market, he said and claimed that a NDA government at the Centre was the only option.
''The UPA government has ruined the country's economy by handling it badly'' he said.
He said senior leader L K Advani would launch Vijay Sankalpa Yatra from Kasaragod in Kerala tomorrow.
The yatra was intended to create awareness among the people about the misdeeds of the UPA government, he said adding such yatras would be held in Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and other states in the coming months.
