Youth Congress to accommodate talented youth
Hyderabad, Oct 11 (UNI) All India Congress Committee (AICC) Secretary and incharge of Youth Congress Affairs Jitender Singh today said the Youth Congress in the country would be strengthened by inviting talented fresh youth into the organisation.
Addressing a press conference here, along with Congress Working Committee Member Jagdish Tytler and All India Youth Congress President Ashok Tanwar, he said as per the vision of AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, the organisation had started internal 'talent search exercise' and the party posts would be given to the talented people, without any pressure or influence from any leader.
Mr Tanwar said the party had started talent search exercise seven months back and it was completed in 17 states. There was good response from the youth, he added.
He said after completing the 'talent search exercise,' the party posts would be given to them based on their performance in a democratic manner.
Mr Tanwar said the talent search excercise would be completed in two to three months. The party had completed the exercise in Coastal Andhra and it would be completed in Rayalaseema and Telangana region by this evening, he added.
Mr Tytler said Mr Rahul Gandhi's desire was to bring talented workers into the organisational set-up to strengthen the party and to prepare for the next general elections in 2009.
