Rs 500 crore being spen on ERA projects in Kashmir
Srinagar, Oct 7 (UNI) An amount of Rs 500 crore was being spent by Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA) in Jammu and Kashmir.
This information was given to the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Masaud Samoon who reviewed the progress and impediments of the Multi-sector Infrastructure Rehabilitation Projects of J&K (ERA).
He was informed today that the agency has taken up works under Transport and Urban sectors, which involve upgradation of various Roads and Bridges and revamping of water supply schemes, water treatment plants and construction of drainage across the National Highway.
As many as 36 projects have been allotted for the upgradation comprising 19 road and 17 bridge projects involving an expenditure of Rs 390 crore.
Two project costing Rs 9.82 crore have also been taken up for roads and bridge at the Leh Town.
Under the Urban Sector 8 water supply schemes, water treatment plants and construction of drainage across the National Highway involving a cost of Rs 189.58 core have been taken up.
