Chandigarh, Oct 6 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today offered all assistance to Swami Ramdev in setting up a Yoga University in the state.
The Chief Minister was addressing the participants of a Yoga camp being conducted by Swami Ramdev in Narnaul today.
Mr Hooda appreciated the efforts made by Swami Ram Dev in popularising the culture of Yoga in the world saying his efforts would result in ushering in a Yoga revolution which would prove beneficial for the future generations.
Swami Ramdev, he said, had brought laurels to the state and made every Haryanvi feel proud.
He assured allround development of Southern Haryana and added that the decision to set up a Central University in this area of the state would prove a step forward in the development of the area.
He pointed out that this area had been facing shortage of water because of ''some natural factors and vested political interests.'' With a view to checking the problem of scarcity of water, he said, the state government had constructed Hansi-Butana link canal. He assured that the efforts of the government would succeed in ensuring supply of water upto the tailend.
He also criticised those who were creating hindrances in the construction of Hansi-Butana link canal The Chief Minister released some books of Yoga brought out by Yog Vigyan Samiti, Narnaul.
Speaking on the occasion, Swami Ramdev said trainers of Yoga had been prepared to impart training of Yoga to the people of all villages in Haryana. He stressed that Yoga should be made a way of life.
