Wal-Mart to open cash and carry centers
{image-walmart india_24092008.jpg news.oneindia.in}New Delhi, Sep 24: Retail firm Wal-Mart India on Wednesday, Sep 24 said it will open its first cash-and-carry centre in the country in next year and take this number up to 15 over seven years.
''We will open the first cash-and-carry centre in the next year and plans to open 10-15 over next seven years,'' Wal-Mart India President Raj Jain told reporters on the sidelines of a conference here. The first centre will be in northern India, he said. The US-based retail giant Wal-Mart has a venture with Bharti Enterprises for cash-and-carry wholesale operations in the country.
