WR to increase sleeper class coach capacity of 2 trains
Ahmedabad, Sep 2 (UNI) With a view to provide better accommodation to sleeper class passengers, Western Railway has decided to replace all sleeper class Coaches of two express trains originating from Valsad, to increase their capacity by 12.5 per cent.
According to the programme, coaches of 2943/2944 Valsad-Kanpur Udyog Karmi Express and 9051/9052 Valsad-Sonpur Shramik Express will be replaced, Railway sources said today.
These trains normally run with nine conventional sleeper class coaches with a capacity of 72 berths each. They will be replaced with the new high capacity coaches of 81 berths each, with effect from September 3 and 6 respectively, sources added.
