Advani, Rajnath to address rally in B'lore on Sept 13
Bangalore, Aug 25 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha L K Advani and BJP president Rajnath Singh will address a public rally in the city on September 13, party state president Sadananda Gowda said today.
Talking to newspersons after reviewing the preparations for hosting the party's three-day National Executive meeting to be held here from September 12, Mr Gowda said the public rally was intended to celebrate the party's victory in the recent Karnataka Assembly elections.
He said Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa would expand his Cabinet on August 27 by inducting Mr Umesh Katti, a former JD(S) Legislator who quit his Assembly seat and joined the BJP recently.
Replying to questions, Mr Gowda said it was decided to suspend 'Operation Lotus' temporarily.
Stating that Horticulture Minister S K Bellubbi had submitted his resignation on his own for the betterment of the party, Mr Gowda said he would be 'compensated' by offering him the Chairman post of any state-run Corporations or Boards.
No more ministers would quit their posts, he added.
