ACB unearths disproportionate assets worth Rs 79 lakh
Hyderabad, Aug 19 (UNI) Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau(ACB) today unearthed disproportionate assets worth over Rs 79 lakh during simultaneous raids conducted at office and residences of R W S (Panchayat Raj Dept) Executive Engineer Gangidi Malla Reddy.
The ACB arrested the accused after conducting raids at his office in Guntur and residences in the city, a press release here said.
The assets including, two houses at SBH Colony in Asmangarh and Malakpet, one at Vaddepally in Warangal District, one plot each at Kazipet, Vaddepally of Warangal District and Karimnagar and about 30 acres of agricultural land at Janagon Mandal in Warangal District, among others and the worth of immovable properties comes to Rs 60 lakh.
Mr Reddy was also found in possession, cash of Rs 45,000, bank balance Rs 8,88,711, gold ornaments worth Rs 1,00,000, two cars worth Rs 5,50,000, a scooter worth Rs 16,000 and household articles worth Rs 8,00,000.
The disproportionate assets in possession of the accused was to the tune of Rs 79,19,711. The accused would be produced before Principal Special Judge for SPE&ACB cases, here, the release added.
