Media's connection with No.6 on Independence Day

New Delhi, Aug 15: The media on Friday, Aug 15 had a sweet and bitter brush with number 6 on the occasion on Independence Day.

As today being August 15, which adds up to 6, the day brought sweet and happy memories of 61 years ago when the country achieved complete independence. It was something which not only mediamen but the entire country had fond memories of. The number of the car parking label, which was stuck to the windshields of the cars of mediapersons, was also six, asking them to enter the venue from the gate number -- which was of course again six.

Here the media had some tough time as many of them were asking for the directions to the gate. Some of them even had to walk some distance cluelessly due to lack of coordination among various wings of the Delhi Police.

Finally, the place where the seating arrangement for the media was made had 78 chairs, the number which again adds up to 6. As the event started a few mediapersons were seen standing as the chairs fell short a bit, causing them inconvenience.

Moreover, it was a Friday today, a day ruled by Venus which is also signified by number 6.
