CM applies for pension
Sehore, MP, Aug 13 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will avail pension along the lines of other Maintenance of Internal Security Act (MISA) detainees who are to be benefitted by the state government's approving the Loknayak Jayaprakash Samman Nidhi.
The District Collector received an application of this nature today.
Mr Chouhan, who was 16 at the time of the emergency, was arrested during a demonstration at Bhopal's Chowk Bazaar. After being incarcerated for four months he was released on account of his tender age.
State-level MISA Bandi Samiti Vice-President Balkrishna Namdev confirmed that the Chief Minister had submitted an application for pension.
