Panchaganga river crosses danger mark
Kolhapur, Aug 11 (UNI) The Panchaganga river in Kolhapur istrict today crossed the danger mark of 43 feet at the Rajaram 'Bandhara' point at the basaba bavada suburb.
The incessant rains led to the river hovering above the danger mark this afternoon.
The district administration has shifted about 900 people to safer places.
In Sangli, an alert has been sounded and people residing in river banks have been asked to shift as a precautionary measure.
