APCC expresses satisfaction on relief measures taken by Govt
Hyderabad, Aug 11 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) today expressed satisfaction over the rescue and relief measures taken by the State Government for the people affected due to torrential rains in the State.
Talking to newspersons here, party spokesperson P Venkata Rao said the State Government had taken timely measures in providing relief to the affected people.
Sympathising with the families of those who lost their lives, Mr Rao said the Government had o announced ex-gratia to the families of the deceased and opened relief camps to rescue the people from the low-lying areas.
Referring to the proposed political party to be launched by Telugu actor Chiranjeevi, the Congress leader said the party would be confined only to his family members. It would be difficult for him to serve the people without any political experience, he added.
He said, ''if Chiranjeevi wants to serve the people, he should join any national party.'' The actor's brothers and brother-in-law had not done anything for the people earlier and they were politically novice, he added.
