Jammu likely to get rid of ''power shortage'' in ten days
Jammu, Aug 7 (UNI) The Winter Capital of Jammu and Kashmir is likely to get rid of ''power shortage'' in another ten days as the much awaited transformer reached the city today, sources said.
'' The low-bed trailer carrying the transformer was stuck up on the Jammu-Kathua National Highway due to tense situation in district Samba en route Jammu,'' sources told UNI.
However transformer reached here and would be installed soon to restore the grid station. Trailers carrying transformer oil, radiator and other accessories had already reached Jammu to help installing the transformer, official sources added.
The entire Jammu region has been under a severe threat of power shortage for around two months as the main transformer got damaged in a fire at Gladani Grid Station in June.
