JD(U) Secretariat to decide fate of rebel MPs tomorrow
New Delhi, Jul 23 (UNI) Asserting that disciplinary action would be taken against two MPs who defied party whip during the voting on the Trust Motion in Parliament, the Janata Dal (United) president Sharad Yadav today said party Secretariat would take a final decision.
Mr Yadav said the Secretariat meeting would be held tomorrow to discuss the fate of P P Koya and Ram Kishore Prasad whose abstaining and voting for the trust motion helped in saving the UPA government.
Mr Koya, the MP from Lakshadweep, did not reach the Parliament to participate in the voting while Mr Prasad who represented the party from Nalanda voted in favour of the UPA government. The JD(U) president had earlier tried hard to persuade Mr Koya come to Delhi to participate in the voting but his efforts did not bore fruit.
