M.M.Hills records heavy rainfall of 10 cm
Bangalore, July 19 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hrs today.
Monsoon was weak over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at many places over Coastal Karnataka; at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.
M.M.Hills recorded heavy rainfall of 10 cm.
Other chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Bangarpet 6; Kolar 5; Bhatkal, Shirali 4 each; Humnabad, Sravanabelgola, Malur 3 each; Subramanya, Honavar. Karwar, B.Bagewadi, Agumbe 2 each; Mulki, Mangalore, Bantwal, Sulya, Kota, Kundapur, Kumta, Shahapur, Basavakalyan, Arsikere, Kollegal, Mandya, Anekal, Hoskote, Kanakapura 1 each.
Forecast valid until Monday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka.
Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to heavy rain likely to occur at many places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and over Kodagu, Shimoga, Chikmagalur and Hassan districts of South Interior Karnataka. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka and remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka.
Heavy Rainfall Warning:Heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places over the State during next 48 hours.
Outlook for subsequent two days: Increase in rainfall is expected over the state.
