Lucknow, Jul 13 (UNI) Defending its officials in the Aarushi-Hemraj murder case once again, Uttar Pradesh government today said any action against errant officials, if any, would be taken only after the Court's decision on the chargesheet filed in the case.

The state government also contradicted the allegations levelled by SP leader Amar Singh in the murder case, appointment of retired Supreme Court Judge H K Sema as chairman of the State Human Rights Commission (HRC) and a probe against near and dear ones of the SP leader in illegal running of a commercial bus.

Addressing a press conference here, state Principal Secretary (Home) Fateh Bahadur, in the presence of state Director General of Police (DGP) Vikram Singh, said there was no question of any action against the policemen who were involved in the Noida murder case till the chargesheet was filed and the Court gave its verdict on whether the state police was responsible for lapses in the probe.

Reacting to Mr Singh's allegation that Justice Sema was given the post of chairman state HRC, Mr Bahadur said the judge's name was cleared by the committee which was represented by leader of the opposition in the state assembly Mulayam Singh Yadav, SP leader and chairman of the state legislative council Choudhury Sukhram Singh Yadav and leader of the opposition in the state legislative council Ahmed Hassan.

''It is unfortunate that when SP leaders themselves cleared the name of Justice Sema, they are now opposing it,'' the official said.

Referring to Mr Singh, he said probe on the misuse of a bus, registered in Hamirpur by a close confidant of the political leader has been handed over to the anti-corruption cell, while the CD shown by the leader was an old one.

Defending the suspension of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Dhirendra Kumar Rai, the official said he was found prima facie guilty in the killing of six commandos and one civilian during an ambush by the Thokia dacoit gang on July 23, 2007, when the policemen were returning after killing dreaded dacoit Dadua in an encounter.'' Rai was suspended after he was found guilty in the matter as he was the leader of the police team,'' he said.
