Bartronics to implement Rajasthan Govt's Bhamashah Project
Hyderabad, Jul 2 (UNI) Bartronics India Ltd, a leading provider of end-to-end solutions based on AIDC technologies, will implement the Bhamashah Project, under which the Rajasthan Government will provide banking access to nearly 50 lakh BPL families.
In a statement here today, Bartronics India Managing Director Sudhir Rao said "this is one among the series of financial inclusion initiatives announced by the Centre. It exemplifies that technology can play a crucial role in benefiting the rural and marginalised section of the society." Bartronics India Limited had earlier signed an agreement with the Rajasthan Government for initiating the first phase of the Project, which would be implemented from July one and completed within three months. Bartronics would manage the project at least for the next ten years, he added.
The scheme was aimed at providing banking access through biometric identifiable smart cards to all BPL families, small and marginal farmers and identified SC/ST families in rural areas by providing them with financial relief through a financial inclusion process.
