Two debt-ridden farmers commit suicide
Mysore, Jun 24 (UNI) Unable to repay their farm loans, two farmers have committed suicide by hanging in Mandya and Hassan districts of Karnataka.
In Mandya district, Mahesh (35) of Athiganhalli committed suicide by hanging from a tree in his land yesterday. He had availed loans worth Rs two lakh from various banks.
In another incident, a 54-year-old farmer Devarajegowda of Bannur in Arakagudu taluk of Hassan district committed suicide by hanging at his residence.
