Gujarat seeks Singapore's assistance for development
Gandhinagar, Jun 21 (UNI) Water Supply and Urban Development Minister Nitin Patel has sought modern technology and technical guidance from Singapore, in the fields of urban development, water distribution system and solid waste management.
Speaking to newspersons yesterday evening here, the Minister said the government had sought assistance from a visiting Singapore delegation led by Singapore's Minister of state for Foreign Affairs Dr Balaji Sadashivan, for developing infrastructure of international standard in big cities of Gujarat.
He said Dr Sadashivan had assured their assistance in the development plans in the state.
The Singapore delegation is in the state and has met various Ministers, including Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Health Minister Jaynarayan Vyas, Water Supply Minister Nitin Patel, secretaries and several business leaders.
