Three run away children sheltered in Child Line
Tiruchirapalli, Jun 19: Three children, aged below 14 years, who were found loitering at the railway junction here after alighting from a train yesterday, were rescued and handed over to the Child Line authorities.
Railway Protection Force (RPF) sources said B Kannan (13), his brother B Karuppusamy (12), hailing from Kovilpatti and K Vijay (13) of Srimushnam in Cuddalore district, working in a sack manufacturing unit at Ernakulam told the police that they escaped from the unit, unable to bear the sufferings.
They were temporary sheltered at the Child Line office in the city, the sources added.
