Dayton University signs MoU with SRM
Chennai, Jun 13 (UNI) The US headquartered University of Dayton today signed a MoU with SRM University, one of the leading private educational institutions in the country, to undertake joint collaborative research in various fields and for exchange of students and faculty.
The MoU was signed by SRM University Registrar Prof Sethuraman and Dr Joseph Saliba of Dayton University.
To begin with, the agreement enables exchange of faculty, students, research and information between the two institutions.
''Our partnership allows us to extend the classroom experience beyond the walls of our campuses, prepare us to think and act globally, provide us with extensive research opportunities,'' Dr Joseph said.
''After getting to know each other through student and faculty exchanges, Dayton will have working relations with SRM in collaborative research in various areas. As the relationship grows, we will undertake joint research in the fields of materials engineering, composite materials, fuel combustion, remote sensing, energy assesment, materials and civil engineering,'' he added.
However, nanotechnology would be one of the key areas for research, he said.
