Goa govt directs port captains to tow away drifted vessel
Panaji, Jun 11 (UNI) The Goa government today directed the Captain of Ports here to tow away the drifted vessel Andheri Nagri from Caranzalem coast in the city by June 18 before it posed any threat to the ecology and environment.
Meanwhile, efforts of the ship owner to tow away the transhipper had failed for the last two days in the inclement weather.
The vessel was drifted to the shore three days ago following heavy rains and gales in the Arabian Sea while enviromental groups expressed their concern.
